The Puzzle Franchise Faceoff had a tough opening round, with Serbia’s round proving trickier for many than last year. Tiit Vunk’s stellar performance, 229 above his 2025 average, led his Titans to second place, but Édouard Lebeau’s Stream took the full 10 points as 6 of their 7 players performed above their 2025 average. Weifan Wang and Diana Grigoreva both produced big scores, but were let down by subpar performances from their teammates and only ended up sixth. Third place for round 1 went to the Icebergs, led by three strong performances – Aleksei Daniliuk’s first ever 500-point performance, Gennady Korotkevich and Carolyn Duke.
