The most intriguing result came from pool G, where Tawan Sunathvanichkul did not compete, giving UK a win over the seeded Thailand team, and leaving this group open. The other group with an upset was pool F, where both Jelena Balanova and Arvis Brizga heavily outscored their 2025 averages and took out the Türkiye reserve team while their top 2 authored the puzzles.
