Takuma Muto edged out Aubin Danzo by 1 point, though it wasn’t all bad news for France as Valentin Miakinen beat Jeffrey Bardon 688-657. Prasanna Seshadri suffered his second cup defeat this year, losing 663-784 to Rintaro Matsumoto.
