Redwoods stand tall

The Redwoods became the fourth different winners in the first four weeks, but this does mean that no team has yet booked their place in the playoffs. The Redwoods are one of only two teams to score in each round so far, which is particularly impressive when their second highest averaging player has not been competing this year. Lucy Epstein, however, had the top contribution this time, and another strong performance by Sed Holaysan solidified their efforts. The other consistent team, the Blues, notched up their second second place in a row, with all seven players contributing, and five of them getting over 100 above their average. Nora Borst had another great round for the Hoops but has struggled to find support and her team now find themselves in fifth place overall, just outside the playoff spots. The team on an upward trajectory are the Gems, being led this year by Frank Wang, but well supported by Tina Bratim and Hwangrae Lee this time to achieve third place.

Full scores are here, and a reminder that after Round 6, the top four teams will playoff in a head-to-head to decide the winning Franchise.
