The puzzle casual cups have now reached the finals. The red cup has another meeting between Freddie Hand and Ken Endo, with Thomas Luo there as a threat to them both. The USA contribute several more finalists across the different tiers too with Joshua Fernandes and the impressive Frank Wang in the orange final, Patrick Du and Jason Lee in the green final and Kristin Stearns in the blue final.

USA joy continues as Thomas Luo and Walker Anderson steered their country to the World Cup final against Japan with a 1728-1572 against UK. Germany were unable to stand up to the constant Japanese onslaught that Ken Endo and Naoki Sekiya have delivered this year

Meanwhile the Grand Combined Tournament is reduced to the final 12 competitors. Japan already have 3 in the quarter finals and feature in three of the knockout matches for next time, with the other being an exciting clash between Czechia’s Jan Vondruška and China’s Xingjian Cui. The Japanese won’t have a stroll towards the final though, as Roger Kohler, Kevin Sun and Martin Merker will provide experienced opposition.
